11 Year Old Boots in Need of Some Dressing
Dear Sirs,
I am sending you this picture of a pair of your Danner boots that I bought in the August of 1997. I have worn the boots at least 8 months of every year since I bought them. I had them resoled when necessary for the foots are still in good shape. I have worn nothing but Danner boots for the past 20 years and think there is none better. I also have a pair o the 9″ and two pair of the 10″ for winter wear. I buy all my boots from Robertsons Clothing and Shoes in Kelowna B.C. I also bought my grandson a pair of 10″ all leather winter boots in 1999 and he is still wearing them.
The manager of Robertsomn tells me he can’t get the original Danner boot dressing. If this be so would you if possible send me some of the best you have C.O.D.?
Yours truly,
John J. Crossman
Thanks for the letter John. We’re glad to hear your Danner boots have served you so well the last 20 years. We’d be more than happy to send you an entire boot care package including the original boot dressing. No need for C.O.D. though. This one’s on us. Thanks again. - Danner

Curious to know what kind of boots they are shown? Pretty sweet.

John,
It does appear that they are a 6” pair of Danner Light II hiking boots. They have the 90’s and to present date Danner Light II leather vamp, with that nice flow curve up at near the ball of the foot. The leather and nylon Cordura uppers on a 6” boot are consistent with the Danner Light two. Up until about the year 2000 we had embossed the boots style numbers and size on the outside leather part of the tongue towards the top. Some of these have been hard to read, now we use labels on the inside of the boot. If these numbers were still legible we could definitely identify them for you.
Sincerely,
Robbie Rushton
